Bethany Casey

Bethany Casey (aka B) is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and has worked in publishing for over 10 years as a graphic designer and art director. She earned her BFA in graphic design with an inter-media emphasis in painting at Northern Kentucky University and is now excited to display her fine art at the Loveland Art Studios on Main.

Bethany is inspired by painters such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Monet, Van Gogh, Degas and many, many more. Her biggest inspiration is from nature; the color, light, symbolism and beauty found in the life of a flower. Other subjects of her work are inspired by music, poetry, simple objects that strike a memory or emotion, and storytelling/life experience. She prefers to work in acrylics because of the quick drying time and glazing effects, but has worked in multiple mediums, such as encaustic, watercolor, oils, pastels, and charcoal.
