Jamie Morath
I am a 33 year old mother of four wonderful boys. My husband Sean and I have lived in the Cincinnati metro area all our lives, but finally set our roots in the Loveland community and have been here for 11 years. To add to our crowd is Libby, our black lab, who loves her two cat friends Oliver and Stanley. There is never a dull moment in our house, yet I still find time to nurture my passion for painting.
I started drawing when I was very young. I remember begging my uncle to draw Sesame Street characters on my walls. And from that day forward, art became my future.
I chose not to attend art school because I didn't want to learn anyone else's style. I wanted to be different and nurture my own unique techniques and flair, and I did, creating art that was fun and brings a smile to people's faces.
Everything I see that intrigues me turns into a painting. I love working with acrylic and ink on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper or on canvas. I visualize in bright colors and patterns and see the nontraditional sides of art, not just the scene.
