| Judith Guttman
received her training at The Cincinnati Art Academy and The Central
Academy of Comercial Art. For seven years, she worked as a free-lance art
director, graphic artist, and illustrator before choosing fine art as her
perference. She has served as both President and Tresurer of the Queen
City Art Club and exhibits regularly in the club's group shows. She has
exbited at Gallery 22 in Montgomery; The Design Consortium in Obryanville;
and the Masterwork 53 Exhibit.
She studied oil painting with
Tom Zink, Paul Leyland Thompson, and Janette Maloy and especially prefers
the challenges of portraiture. Whether painting portraits, still life, or
landscape, she always strives to communicate the essence of her subjects
in a poetic atmosphere. For the past six years, she has been teaching oil
painting and drawing at The Baker-Hunt Foundation in Covington, Kentucky
and also teaches private summer classes.
