Through changing light and atmospheric conditions, I enjoy the challenge and the energy created from painting En Plein Air. My art is a work in progress, a journey with no destination and many paths to take. It is always an interesting ride with new opportunities to learn more about myself as an artist. --------Nancy Achberger
Nancy Achberger graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design in Illustration and Adverting Art. In 1999, she started exploring her own style of painting. She has participated several workshops to improve her craft.
Nancy has been in group and solo shows and has received awards for her figurative work as well as painting. She has work in the permanent collection at the University of Cincinnati’s Clermont College.
Nancy is a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club and the Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS).
Nancy’s oil paintings are a loose impressionistic style. Most of the work is finished en Plein Air with little studio work to complete the paintings. She also does larger studio paintings and commissioned pastel portraits.
